Radius Profiles are used to determine the Products you are selling to clients
You can access the Add/Edit/Delete functionality via a right click on the grid.
When editing the Radius Profile
- Name / Description
- This defines an arbitrary name for the Radius Profile
- Radius Realm
- This defines to which Radius Realm the Radius Profile will be linked
- Price
- This defines the monetary value for the product
- Allow Signup
- This defines if the user is allowed to do a self-signup
- Rate Limit / Rate Limit Unit
- This defines an arbitrary Rate Limit / Rate Limit Unit for the product
- Cap Type
- FUP Limit / FUP Limit Unit
- This defines the FUP Limit for example 10gb
- This defines how the FUP Limit (Fair Usage Policy) should behave
- None – Ignore FUP Limits
- Fair Usage Policy – After the Limits has been reached, the FUP Profile will apply
- Hard Capped – The user will not be able to authenticate after the Limits has been reached
- FUP Limit / FUP Limit Unit
- FUP Profile
- This defines the Fair Usage Policy profile after the FUP Limits has been reached
- FUP Profiles can be nested, meaning you can apply stricter limits the more a client abuses the connection
- 20gb – Apply a Rate Limit to a half of the original Rate Limit
- 50gb – Apply a Rate Limit to a quarter of the original Rate Limit
- Disabled Profile
- This defines the Disabled Profile which should be applied when the Radius User is disabled
- Useful if you still want the user to authenticate, but with limited walled garden access
- IPv4 / IPv6 Pool
- This defines the IPv4 / IPv6 IP Address pools to be used for IP Address Allocation
- Initial Pro Rata
- This defines how Pro Rata Limits should be applied when the user signs up during the month (based on the current day as a percentage of the days in the month)
- Examples if the user signs up on the middle of the month:
- None – Ignore Pro Rata
- Usage – Only 50% of the bandwidth will be allocated
- Price – Only 50% of the price will be charges
- Used for Uncapped Accounts
- Usage+Price – Combination of Usage & Price
- Used for Capped Accounts
- Notification Group
- This defines to which Notification Group the Radius Profile should be linked for bandwidth notifications
- Shaper Template
- This defines which Shaper Template to use when authenticated via Proxy Radius (IPC)
- Payment Group
- This is used to override the payment group as setup in the Radius Realm
